• Lunch and Beverages: You will need to pack a lunch and snacks. Please keep beverages in cans or thermos bottles.  Please, no glass containers or bottles.

  • Fishing license(s):  Required for ages 16-65yrs. An Ohio senior license is required for people 66yrs. and older. Please have your license before arriving at the boat!

  • Clothing: Please do not wear hard sole shoes or boots on the boat! Dress according to the predicted weather forecast. Jacket, rain gear, sunglasses, sunscreen and don't forget your camera.

  • Rod and Reel: I use 6' medium action rods with open face spin casting reels. Most fishermen like to use their own rods and reels but these are available on the boat. It is important that you have fairly new line, preferably 8-10# monofilament or 10# micro filament line such as Spiderwire or Fireline.   Don't loose a big fish because of line failure!

  • Lures: Worm harnesses tipped with 1" of a dangling worm will  imitate a Mayfly larva and catch a lot of fish. Harnesses are available on the boat for $2 or you can by them at most tackle stores.
Bottom bouncers are also very effective.  A worm harness is attached to  1-3 oz. wire sinker and dragged along the lake bottom as the boat drifts               over fish.
Weight forward lures such as gold Erie Dearies, Pygmy Hot-N-Tots and             Parish Peas size 5/8 and 3/4 still catch fish. These weight forward lures               were popular in the 1990's.

  • Live bait: Bait and ice are supplied with your walleye and perch trips.  Fresh Canadian peat night crawlers are washed and ready to catch big walleyes.

  • Motion Sickness: Prevent it with prescription and/or over the counter medications and eat only a light breakfast.

  • Cooler: Needed for your lunch and big enough to take your fish home.
